November 2008 - CCHA launch their bike scheme

A Cardiff housing association has introduced a cycle scheme for its 97 staff with an Activity Lifestyle Grant from the Sports Council for Wales. The scheme was launched on 17 November 2008 by Jane Davidson, AM, Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing.

The Association, which has its own health promotion scheme, used the Sports Council grant to purchase 20 cycles from The Bike Shed, which is teaching staff to ride safely, how to maintain the bikes and find safe routes to work.



Housing Assistant Paul Elliott who rides to work from Taffs Well with Minister Jane Davidson and Dawn Murphy, Corporate Affairs Officer, Cardiff Community Housing on bikes provided by the Housing Association.
